Event Description:
Women are in a unique position in regards to Social Security.  Social Security is one of the few incomes that keeps up with inflation and lasts for life.  Unfortunately, most women are not aware of the ways they can maximize their benefits.  This workshop will help you understand that the decisions you make in your 60's will determine the amount of Social Security you will get in your 80's; show you how to take advantage of spousal benefits, survivor benefits, and divorced spouse survivor benefits; how to plan your retirement benefits with benefits yu might receive as a spouse or divorced spouse; why married women should play an active role in when their husbands apply for Social Security; what to do if your husband or ex-husband dies, and even how to plan for a long life.

While the class may be titled Social Security Tips for "Women", this information is also for, and beneficial for, men with women in their lives.
